Rani Durgavati University has been visited by several important and distinguished Indians. Dr. S. Radhakrishnan an Indian delivered its first Convocation address on 1 March 1958. Similarly, Dr. C.D. The university is formed on 12 June 1956 under the Jabalpur University Act, MP 1956 (Act No. 22 of 1956) with territorial jurisdiction over Jabalpur revenue district. It shifted to SaraswatiVihar, Pachpedi, Jabalpur in 1961. Since 1961 the university is the situation at saraswativihar itself.
