Mandatory Medical Standards In IAF 2017 Group Y
(a) General Medical Standards for both Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades and Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades are as follows: –
(i) Height: The acceptable height should the minimum of 152.5 cms.
(ii) Range of expansion of Chest minimum: 5 cm
(iv) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
Selection Process In IAF 2017
- VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY.
- Written Test – soon
(a)Syllabus for Group ‘X’ (Technical) posts consists of English, Physics and Mathematics. Duration of Test: 60 minutes.
(b) Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) posts which consist of English section and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA). Duration of Test 45 minutes.
(c) Both Groups ‘X&Y’. English, Physics, Mathematics and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA). Duration of Test 85 minutes.
Note – Candidates need to pass all the exam papers of there post for which they have applied.
- Written Exam Results will be declared on the written exam day itself.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same day or the even the next day. PFT exam covers the 1.6 Km run which should be completed within 8 minutes.
- Interview
- Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be interviewed. Working knowledge of English is essential.
