Calcutta University is primed to advertise the admission notification for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program 2024-23. Every year the university has conducted the admissions for B.Ed Courses. Eligibility for Calcutta Univ B.Ed Admission 2024

Education Qualification:

Applicants must be completed UG/ PG/ Bachelors Degree from the recognized university.

1. Candidates with at least 50% mark either in the UG or in the PG in Sciences/ Social Science/ Humanities/ B.Tech with specialization in Science & Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the program. The relaxation of marks for SC/ ST/ PWD is 5%.
2. Reservation of seats for B.Ed admission (only for the fresher category)
   i) Calcutta University: 80%
   ii) Other University (OU): 20%
3. Reservation of Seats for SC, ST, and PWD will be as follows:
   i) Scheduled Caste (SC): 22%
   ii) Scheduled Tribe (ST): 6%
   iii) PWD: 3%
4. SC/ ST from other states will not get the reservation facility.
5. Fresher (non-deputed) students will be selected on the basis of academic merit only.
6. Deputed Candidates shall be selected only on the basis of period of approved service mentioned in Clause 8 of the aforesaid Gazette notification.

Age Limit:

• For Fresher students (General Category): 40 years as on 30th June 2020
• For Deputed Students (General Category): NO Age Limit

Age Relaxation:

Age Limit is relaxable for max 5 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PWD categories.
